I am sitting here surrounded by water but I am completely dry. Back on a cruise ship where I have spent so much time over the last 13 years? Oh dear no. I am gazing out the window at our typical Florida heavy afternoon downpour! My jewelry trunk shows are a thing of the past, at least for the foreseeable future but my passion for making jewelry that makes women feel pretty hasn’t dampened one bit.
So on this rainy day I have decided to have a BLOW OUT SALE of one of my favorite collections, Black & Gold. I have only shown this on a cruise ship prior to now. The pieces were inspired by my travels in Europe where I can’t seem to take enough photos of the ancient iron and stone work that becomes woven into my own work.
To create the look that I imagined, some of the pieces that I cast in silver I then plated with a thick 14K yellow gold. I complimented that with black enamel on silver pieces and then forged other shapes in bronze which were given the same treatments. Then end results are pieces that work with casual attire or dressy attire.
